Christmas Vigil Schedule
Elders of the Lititz Moravian Congregation confirmed the dates and times for the seven Christmas Vigils that annually draw more than 4,000 worshipers to the sanctuary on Church Square. Pastor Dean Jurgen notes a small change in the scheduling sequence for the services. In other years, four evening Vigils were scheduled the weekend before Christmas, but this year those four Vigils are divided over two weekends.
To assure seating and safety, tickets are required for all Vigils except the Family Lovefeast Candlelight Service on Sunday morning. Reservation forms have been mailed to members of the Congregation with a Friday, November 23 deadline. Distribution of tickets to the public will take place on Monday, December 10, 6 p.m., in Fellowship Hall, first floor of the Christian Education Building.
- The first two Vigils will occur on Sunday evening, December 16, at 5 and 7:30 p.m.
- The next Vigils are scheduled for the following Saturday, December 22, at 5 and 7:30 p.m.
- The fifth Vigil will be the Family Lovefeast Candlelight Service that is the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, December 23.
- As usual, the final Vigils will take place at 5 and 7:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, December 24.
