Lititz Project 2017
Here is your chance to experience a mission trip without leaving Lititz. No shots. No passports. All is needed is a desire to help those in our own community who, because of physical or financial limitations, may need help with home spruce up projects. Last year LMC completed 8 projects that included weeding & yard work, trimming shrubs & trees, mulching, painting, power washing, gutter cleaning and dry wall work. All skill levels are welcome, from novice to expert craftsman. Please consider serving in one or more of the following ways:
Sunday April 23 – Door hanger distribution Everyone is invited to help hang flyers on doors throughout Lititz, alerting homeowners of project opportunities. No sign-up necessary. Meeting location & time TBA.
By Sunday, April 9 – Team organizationGroups or classes may volunteer to work together on a project(s). Complete an “Application for Service” found in Sunday bulletins or in the Star Room. Make sure you include the name of the group on the proper line. Return to the box in the Star Room by Sunday April 9.
By Sunday, April 9 – Individual volunteers If not a member of a LMC class or group, you may volunteer as an individual and be included on a team with others of the same project type interests. Complete an “Application for Service” found in Sunday bulletins or in the Star Room. Return to the box in the Star Room by Sunday April 9.
DonationsHelp offset the cost of supplies (paint, mulch, hardware, etc.) - checks can be made out to Lititz Moravian Church with "Lititz Project" written in the memo line.
The Lititz Project provides a great opportunity to spread God’s message of “Love Thy Neighbor”. Over the past 5 years, Lititz area churches (12-15 each year) have completed approximately 400 – 450 such projects. Projects can be very rewarding for both the homeowner and the LMC volunteer.
