Round the world, round the clock prayer!Sign up in the Star Room for a 1/2 hour slot (entrance off of parking lot in back of church)
Recognizing the importance of prayer, in 1727 there were 24 men and 24 women in the Moravian community of Hernnhut who committed themselves to round-the-clock prayer. Each man and woman prayed for one hour a day for the needs of the church and the Kingdom. This prayer chain continued for over 100 years, unbroken and yielding amazing fruit. It was during this time that God led the Moravians to pioneer world missions as we know them. This tradition of round-the-clock prayer was re-instituted in 1957, on the 500th anniversary of the Moravian Church. Each Moravian congregation around the world is asked to pray for one day. Our day is Saturday, December 10: a great birthday gift you can give the Savior! Pray-ers are needed to sign up for a 1/2 hour prayer time. You may pray at home, at work, at church, wherever.
The Provincial Elders' Conference invite you to "journey around the world as you pray your way around the Unity" Read the charge sent by Elizabeth D. Miller, on behalf of the Provincial Elders' Conference here.
