Adult Groups

Many of our adult small groups are Bible Studies that meet on Sunday morning during the Sunday School hour.  During the fall, winter and spring, childcare is available in the nursery during Sunday School.  Other small groups involve fellowship or hands-on activities.  Explore the list below for details.

The Seekers Class

Adult Sunday School Class

WHEN: Sundays from 9:15am - 10:15am

WHERE: Heritage Dining Room on Lower Level of Christian Education Building (CEB)

The Seekers Class is all about growing in our faith together. Each week, we watch a short video on a faith-based topic and then talk about what it means for our lives today. Recently, we’ve enjoyed two series by Pastor Andy Stanley—Follow, which helped us see Jesus’ invitation as the start of a relationship with Him, and Starting Point, which asked how an adult might begin their faith journey from scratch. Our time together is lighthearted and fun, but also a meaningful way to deepen our love for Jesus.

The Wired Word (TWW)

Adult Sunday School Class

WHEN: Sundays from 9:15am - 10:15am

WHERE: Liquid Classroom on the 2nd floor of Christian Education Building (CEB)

The Wired Word (TWW) is a current events Bible study that connects what’s happening in our world today with the truth of Scripture, sparking meaningful and thought-provoking discussions. Together, we explore recent news stories, wrestle with challenging questions and commentary, and reflect on passages from both the Old and New Testaments that guide our conversations and deepen our faith.

The lesson is emailed each week prior to the Sunday morning class. Most class members read the lesson on their phone. Please come and join the conversation.

Keeping Holy Time

Adult Sunday School Class

WHEN: Sundays from 9:00am - 10:00am

WHERE: Eschbach Parlor in Brothers House

Each week, we gather to dive into the weekly scripture lessons and discover how God’s Word speaks to us today. Together we look at why the passage was written, who it was written for, what it means, and how it connects to our lives now.  Through this, we come to see why these lessons are important for our faith journey.

Come join us as we learn and grow together in the Bible.

FELLOWSHIP GROUPS and more!

Moravians love to gather to accomplish many things. There is something for everyone to be involved with at LMC:

Random Acts of Kindness

Perhaps they should be called Intentional  Acts of Kindness that we do monthly on a random basis. It’s always an adventure and God opens amazing doors as we show God’s love in practical way. Why not join us as we go out together to show kindness by paying for parking on Main and Broad Streets, washing car windows, handing out water, or paying for clothes washing at local laundromats, and it’s all free. Just like Jesus’ love for us is free. We let that Moravian friendliness shine and help remind folks that God is there for them. We go sharing God’s love one Saturday morning a month. Please contact us for dates and activities. Randy Bricker email: .

Candle Making

Moravians have long been enthralled with the use of light, particularly candlelight, to express their belief that Christ came to light the world. Using a special formula of tallow and beeswax, Moravian chandlers have been making candles by hand for generation. Today, this tradition continues with members of Lititz Moravian producing thousands of candles for church services here and for other congregations and for sale at the Lititz Moravian Mission Gift Shop. A group of dedicated chandlers gather weekly during the spring months to make the candles, then gather again in December to trim them. Come join the fun of beeswax candle making as you assist in creating the glowing wonder of the Christmas Lovefeast Candlelight Vigil services.

Quilters Group

The Quilters Group meets weekly to quilt and to gather together for fellowship. They acquire quilt tops from any source and will quilt to suit their customers' requirements. There is a charge for the service of the quilters and the proceeds are given to mission projects. After a morning of activity, they usually go to lunch together. All are welcome to join in regardless of experience. Wilma Beard is the leader of this dedicated group of quilters.
When: Tuesday mornings from 9 to 11 AM
Where: Quilt room (yes! LMC has one of these!) located just beyond the nursery on the 1st floor of the Christian Education Building.

A fun loving group of crafters meet monthly to work on projects as they chat and laugh together. Their finished projects are sent to missions, the church's Mission Gift Shop, the Advent Tea, or the Moravian Manor Gift Shop. Some items produced are knitted hats and gloves for needy children, blankets for babies, prayer shawls, beaded necklaces, and needlework. All are welcome to join in and also bring new projects to share.
When: 3rd Monday from 6:30 to 9 PM
Where: Basement of the Christian Education Building

Community Garden

Since 2017, thanks to the leadership of Brenda Barnes, a small group of volunteers has worked to fund and manage a small raised-bed garden near the pavilion which has provided much needed fresh vegetables to our community food banks.  In the fall of 2024, the garden was expanded, adding additional raised beds and increasing the space available to provide fresh produce to those who are expereincing food insecurity.  For more information, contact the church office.

R.O.M.E.O.s

"Retired Old Moravians Eating Out". Join us for a Men's Lunch Group on the first Wednesday of every month. Come together for great fellowship as we visit local restaurants for lunch and enjoy a variety of activities. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with other men within our congregation, share good conversation, and make new memories.  Please meet at LMC at 11:00 am with transportation provided by the mini bus.  Contact Greg Bomberger at the office to learn more.
