The Refugee Ministry Team of Lititz Moravian works in partnership with Church World Service (CWS) Lancaster to provide move-in services to newly arriving refugee families. Each move-in includes furniture, household goods, cleaning supplies, toiletries, a stocked pantry, and children’s welcome packs.
Many congregation members and friends in the community support the ministry through donations, physical labor, warm outreach, and prayers. Here are a few ways you can help.
Donate items in new or very good condition. Especially needed:
Kitchen: dining sets of plates, bowls, utensils, drinking glasses (no wine glasses)
Bed/bath: Twin sheet sets & blankets [Full + queen also welcome]
Bath: bath towels, bath rugs, shower curtains + rings
Cleaning supplies: dish soap, sprays, cleaning cloths/brushes, paper towels, laundry detergent, waste baskets, mop & bucket, broom & dustpan, trash bags, plunger
Toiletries: toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss, hand lotion, deodorant, etc.
Furniture: kitchen table/chairs, dressers, shelves
Misc: air conditioning units, fans, lamps, light bulbs, curtains + rods

- Give a monetary donation to help purchase supplies. We often get very short notice of new arrivals – donation of funds allows us to make quick purchases as needed. Please make your check out to Lititz Moravian with “Refugee” in the memo and mail to Lititz Moravian, 8 Church Sq, Lititz PA 17543.
- Volunteer to help organize supplies, pick up donations, carry heavy items, organize supplies, prepare welcome kits, stock a pantry, etc. Complete volunteer form here.
- Drive newly arrived refugees to health appointments, etc. Clearances required.
