Welcome to Rooted!
Rooted is the children’s ministry of Lititz Moravian Congregation for children from Nursery through 5th grade, and families are warmly invited to come and see what it’s all about. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or looking for a place where your child can grow in faith and friendship, there’s a place for you here.
Our goal is simple and meaningful: to help children become rooted in Christ by building a strong, joyful foundation for a personal relationship with Jesus. Using the Spark Sunday School curriculum, children explore faith through prayer, conversation, and hands-on Bible learning that comes alive through science, art, drama, food, and games. Each week offers opportunities to wonder, create, ask questions, and discover God’s love in ways that connect to everyday life.

Rooted is also a place where friendships grow. Through Sunday mornings, special events, and opportunities to serve, children learn what it means to care for one another and be part of a loving faith community.
Moravians have a long-standing tradition of nurturing children in faith, education, and scripture, and we are grateful to continue that tradition today. We joyfully welcome new families and children who are seeking a warm, engaging, and positive environment where faith is shared, curiosity is encouraged, and everyone is invited just as they are.
Throughout the year, families are invited to gather for fun social events about every two months, creating opportunities to laugh, play, and build meaningful relationships together. Children also have the chance to grow their hearts for service through Rooted Missions, special mission-focused events held about every three months, where kids learn the joy of helping others and making a difference.

Families are welcome to join at any time during the year and participate as often as they are able. Sunday School meets from September through May, from 9:15–10:15 a.m. in our Christian Education Building (or the “CEB,” as we like to call it!).
Getting started is easy! Simply use the registration button or QR code below to complete a brief registration form so we can get to know your child(ren). On your first Sunday, we’ll gladly have someone greet you, show you to the classrooms, and introduce you to the teachers so your family feels comfortable and welcomed right away.
New families are always welcome, and we would love for you to be part of the Rooted community.
Children & Youth in Worship
Each week during our 10:30 a.m. worship service, children are invited to come forward for a special Children’s Chat and Hymn. This is a meaningful time when the pastor shares the day’s message in a way that is close-up, engaging, and easy for young hearts to understand. It’s a beautiful opportunity for children to feel connected and to grow in faith as part of our worshiping community.

On the fourth Sunday of each month, we celebrate LIFT Worship — "Living In Faith Together" at 10:30 a.m. During this service, our youth Sunday School classes help lead worship, sharing their gifts and faith in action. It is a joyful and inspiring experience for the entire congregation as we witness young people growing in Christ.
Preschool Story Hour -
Little Readers, Big Hearts

Children ages 3–5 are warmly invited to join us for a joyful hour of stories, songs, crafts, snacks, and friendship! Each gathering is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and kindness in a welcoming and nurturing environment.
Through shared stories and activities, we gently introduce Christian values such as love, compassion, and caring for others. Some stories come from the Bible, while others are beloved children’s books that help us explore these themes in fun and meaningful ways. Each month features a special theme presented in a way that is engaging and age-appropriate for young learners.

Families from the church and the wider community are welcome. Whether this is your first visit or you’ve been with us before, we would be delighted to have your child join us.
Because space is limited, registration is required for this free program.
